During the off-season of 2014, Clayton had the opportunity to visit the Dominican Republic for the first time. During his time there, he got to know the incredible people of the DR and also see the work of CURE International at the local hospital. He came back and knew we were being called to work in the Dominican Republic.

It has been amazing to see the Lord at work. We have come to know and love the people of the DR and we are grateful for the opportunity to work with CURE. 2015 was our first year to partner with CURE Dominican Republic. We were able to raise funds to support 100 surgeries, two staffing positions and purchase a new digital x-ray machine. The amazing thing about donating to CURE is that the funds immediately go to work, changing the life of a child in need. The doctors and staff of the hospital are the hands and feet of Christ—they love the children and families that they serve with compassion and excellent medical care.

We were able to send a small team from Kershaw’s Challenge in January 2016 to visit the hospital in the DR. It is evident that great work is being accomplished within the walls of the hospitals. We look forward to the year ahead.
