Carlos is a barber out of Los Angeles and has pledged to donate $1 for every customer that sits in his chair during the Lent season! He was inspired after reading Arise, a gift given to him from his wife, and decided to join the Challenge by using his talents to better the community. We are SO excited to announce that Carlos was able to serve 324 customers during Lent, thus donating $324 to Kershaw’s Challenge. What an accomplishment!
Thank you, Carlos, for sharing your Challenge with us!
We are so inspired by Kathryn and her pledge to donate $1 for every strikeout she pitches for her high school softball team. Her goal is 60 strikeouts and after only two games in the season and she’s already struck out 13 times! Her inspiration? Phillipians 4:13 “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength”.
Best of luck, Kathryn!
Sam is a child welfare supervisor in Georgia who oversees investigations that assess the safety and risk of abused children. He and his team help protect children from abuse and neglect. His Challenge is to donate $0.10 for every child that his unit comes in contact with. This year, Sam is estimating that he and his team will help over 3,000 children (and maybe even more)!
Join us as we pray for Sam and the impact he has on his community in Georgia. Thank you, Sam!
Meet Mark & Jeff:
Mark & Jeff are brothers who are passionate about running and making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children. Every year, Jeff makes a donation for every mile he runs during the year – 1,000 miles being his goal! This year he is joined by his brother, Mark. They have added a friendly competition to it too, by seeing who can run the most miles! The loser will pledge an additional $0.10 per mile for each mile further the winner runs.
To follow their journey & Challenge, you can follow them with us at https://www.facebook.com/MyKershawsChallenge! We’re cheering you on, Mark & Jeff!
