We can't say "THANK YOU" enough! Last year was an incredible year for Kershaw's Challenge. By God's grace and with your tremendous support, we raised more funds that ever before. That means, GREAT work was made possible for our amazing beneficiaries. As we start into a new season, we want to take a moment to reflect on where we've been.
Here's a look at what was accomplished in 2014:
Arise Africa || Zambia, Africa
Thanks for funds raised in 2014, we were able to purchase land for a second children's home in Lusaka! The staff with Arise Africa is excited to break ground, build the home and welcome more children into a safe haven once the home is complete.
Dream Center || Los Angeles, California
20 homeless families were taken off the streets of L.A. and will go through a 48-week transitional housing program to learn the cause and effects of homelessness. Thanks to the Dream Center, these families are able to get back on their feet in a stable living environment.
CURE International || Zambia, Africa
170 life-changing surgeries were performed for disabled children in Lusaka through CURE. That's 85 neurological and 85 orthopedic surgeries. We were also able to purchase medical equipment for the hospital so that patients can be treated FREE of charge.
Mercy Street || Dallas, Texas
Clayton hosted a baseball clinic for 240 kids in West Dallas in November. In 2015, ground will break on a little league baseball "field of dreams" in inner-city West Dallas. 1000 children will have renewed opportunity to play organized sports in their community.
We always want to start with the specific ways that the Lord has worked in and through Kershaw's Challenge. We REJOICE in the specific ways that He has provided for our amazing beneficiaries above. It's also encouraging to step back and look at the big picture. In 2014, Kershaw's Challenge raised over $900,000. INCREDIBLE.
A new season is about to begin. Together, let's celebrate a wonderful 2014...and then let's begin the work of 2015. We have GREAT hope in the future of this season. Thanks for standing with us!
