Just Keep Livin Foundation
Matthew and Camila McConaughey

We are thrilled to introduce you to the Just Keep Livin Foundation, based in Los Angeles.  "The just keep livin Foundation was started by Matthew and Camila McConaughey and is dedicated to empowering high school students by providing them with the tools to lead active lives and make healthy choices for a better future."  We have gotten to know the work of JKL over the past several years.  We love the tangible ways they are serving children and schools in LA.  We would love to bring JKL into a new LA school.  Their program includes fitness, wellness, service and nutrition curriculum to students.

The Dream Center

We are honored to continue our partnership with the Dream Center located in our baseball home town of Los Angeles.  Los Angeles has a great need that the Dream Center is looking to fulfill through their residential and outreach programs.

For the last several years, Kershaw's Challenge has sponsored The Dream Center's Back to School Bash that provides backpacks and school supplies to those in need.  In addition to sponsoring the bash this summer, we would like to build the Kershaw's Challenge Playground and Activity Center.  This playground would serve the children and families living at the Dream Center and in the surrounding area. Currently many of the children are forced to play in the hallways of the Dream Center because of safety hazards around the neighborhood.

International Justice Mission (IJM)
Dominican Republic

We are thrilled to share the next beneficiary of Kershaw's Challenge - International Justice Mission.  Our focus for IJM will be in the Dominican Republic office to help fund their rescue and restore efforts.  Clayton first visited the DR several years ago and knew we had to get involved.

IJM’s mission is to protect the poor from violence by rescuing victims, bringing criminals to justice, restoring survivors to safety and strength, and helping local law enforcement build a safe future that lasts. They are doing remarkable work of rescuing and restoring children trapped in sex slavery in the DR. Specifically, our contribution would allow for the rescue of 9 boys and girls, restore 18 survivors, restrain 13 suspects, and secure the convictions of 13 traffickers. Our support would also begin the system reform program to improve aftercare services and enhance investigations.
